Eden

Over the past 8 years, I have taken care of family and friends as they went through some of the hardest things imaginable. I forgot I needed to take care of myself.

I needed an escape from the pressure of always supporting, always appearing to be the stable one for my family and family. So I went out into the woods to create pictures. I thought it was just another part of my bigger plan to take care of myself.

But the more time I spent there, the more I understood what the landscape was really providing: It held me in the way I needed to be held. The sunlight warmed my body. The waters embraced me. In the woods of Kerhonkson I found unconditional care.
